How do I make sure that I'm not going to go down that same road?" So, a couple of easy things I just want you to think about. If you notice that your knee is swelling, if you notice that your activity level is declining and you're starting to have some focal pain, these are all warning signs. These are warning signs that something might be going on in your knee, and it could very well be some of that cartilage is breaking down. And it may not be that the road is totally destroyed yet.
