Young, healthy people should know that colorectal cancer is happening at an increased rate for them, even people who are otherwise quite healthy. And it's important to recognize symptoms and then to discuss them with your provider so that you can be evaluated. People at the most risk for early-onset colorectal cancer would be those with a family history and who have inherited a gene that predisposes them. But other people would be those with higher risk overall lifestyle, such as lack of exercise, high alcohol intake, high intake in fatty foods or processed foods.
