Health Talks: Early diagnosis at The James Cancer Diagnostic Center

Learn how The James Cancer Diagnostic Center is improving the cancer diagnosis process through quick and direct access to diagnostic testing. Staffed by experts from The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, the center provides patients with a comprehensive evaluation to determine the appropriate diagnostic testing so that an accurate and early diagnosis can be made.

If there is a cancer diagnosis, our experts work with the patient at each stage of the process to help them navigate uncertainty and connect them with a team best suited for their cancer type to develop a treatment plan.

If no cancer is detected, the center’s team will discuss next steps and do their best to connect the patient with experts who are best suited to treat their condition, whether that means going back to their primary care physician, or on to another specialist who can help determine the cause of their health issues.
